Thats fast, which school you appealed to, may I ask?Hi
We appealed too and is successful. Wishing all the best to those who are waiting for the appeal's outcome! -
Bonnie:
We appealed to RI. DS missed the COP by decimals! He had taken the DSA GAT before in June and he was selected for the second round. That's helped in the appeal process too.

What schoolis your son posted to?
Hi Bon, my son is going to MSHS.Oppa:
Seems like COP of most schools went up. My son 225, guess its very slim chances. I thought with IP, more students will be flowing to those schools offering IP. Didnt expect so many traditional schools' COP to go up so much
Yes Bonnie. I gave up appealing after I found out the COP of our 1st choice went up by 4 points this year. My DS was 1 mark below last year COP. With this year COP, he is now 5 marks below. Well we are glad we skipped the anxiety of waiting for appealing results.
Not forgetting this batch is also the dragon baby boom year. More pupils competing for the seats. -
How does the appeal actually work?
1) Only when someone transfers out of the school then there is a vacancy? Meaning 1 out and 1 in, like a 1-for-1 replacement.
2) There are some buffer as in additional vacancies reserved for appeal cases? Meaning the school is willing to open maybe 1 more class.
For 1), it should be always possible. For 2), does MOE already determine the intake or the school has the discretion to increase the intake?
Thanks in advance. -

I guess, for IS school, it should be case2. For government school like NJC, DMH, RVHS, it should be case1.How does the appeal actually work?

I called vs and they mentioned appeal result out on 31 dec in their website. There will be no interview conducted. -
how long does one need to wait for appeal results?
if appeal failed, will the school inform you?
if one have not listed it as first-choice school, he will stand a lower chance during appeal, am i right? -

We got a call from NJC on Christmas Eve informing us that my dd is on the waiting list. Hope the schools finalise soon.
Congratulation!!!
Is it means that if we didnot get a call from NJC, we donot have any chance for the appeal?
How is the chance to get in NJC if got informed in waiting list of appeal?
My DD's classmate posted to NJC and is successful for her appeal to RGS. Hopefully NJC will call you soon. Good luck
