      phtthp:
any child encounter problem with ting xie before ?

practised writing out the chinese word in an exercise book
but if close book - mind cannot remember how to write the word.
The child can say out the 笔画 when writing out the different strokes of the Chinese character in the writing practice book. Chinese characters can be 左右结构 or 上下结构. Teach the child to identify it. Learning (bian pan) such as 单人旁、口字旁、木字旁、提手旁、三点水、两点水、言字旁、草字旁、等等 (bian pan) helps the child to remember the Chinese words easier. Can try use play doh to form the Chinese character and say out the strokes. Then get a small whiteboard marker and let the child use marker to write on the whiteboard.

            hi

do your kid has a cda account if he/she the firstborn/2007 baby? or cda account applies for second child onwards? thx

            Hi sweetbaby,

CDA did not apply to baby born in 2007.
If I am not wrong, I remembered receiving a letter fr MCYS to open an CDA account for my DS1 (2007 baby) about 2 years ago in order to receive a sum of $$ (about $400) for him.

Maybe you can call & check. 🙂

            cheers

Yes, I agree with you. For 1st born in 2007, the govt indeed deposited $ for the child to start his/her first CDA account, either OCBC or Standard Chartered. However, there is no dollar to dollar matching for 1st born in 2007.
