Sigh... I think 2 days adjusting back to school by doing almost nothing is a waste of time when PSLE is just 7.5 months away.... I am so worried our children are decorating their classrooms while other schools already full speed giving homework...

off topic...but my son in sec 1 this year had to decorate classroom today...what for ? :?

not all schools giving homework...but you can start coaching your daughter for chinese and english in advance since these are languages...build up the momentum at home if the school is still in 1st gear...or else the child will feel the stress when the school suddenly gears up.

Gone through it in 2011 not knowing what to expect, how to be worried, what to worry, what to prepare, thought going through it again this year should not be that much stressful, anxious, frightened, panicky- BUT, it’s WORSE, having gone through it, NOW KNOWING what to expect, how to be frightened, worried, stress, anxious…and this candidate is so different than the one in 2011. Snake, slithers slowly, so very slowly…

My snake is also a slow snake. Watching him do things is like watching everything in slow motion :stupid: Last year I told him that if he works like that in the office, for sure he will be fired.

Yesterday I observed him doing his work and for every 5 minutes of work, I noticed that he spent 5 minutes finding things, yakking, singing, dancing gangnam style and other useless things. His productivity is very low :faint:

                  normal...very normal :frustrated:
throughout the whole of last year, i felt like going to the exam hall to take the psle on his behalf...my son was like tortoise crawling...when doing his work, dropped pen, paper and took his time to pick them...then thirsty, yawned, hungry, toilet breaks. you name it

My husband said wait until NS. He will be punished if he is still slow like that. But PSLE is this year. How to wait until NS? :stompfeet:

if i have to wait till he reaches ns to wake up, my neck would be as long as giraffe…my blood pressure would have shot up !

my son ‘woke up’ 2 weeks before psle…he looked at the calendar and worry…so i took a breather.

plan a time-table…though it may not be possible to follow closely, at least there is a guide…do bear in mind that some schools will start supplementary lessons quite early and the poor kids will be tired.

                        Hi parents,

Does your child’s math teacher insist on the last sentence for paper 2? My dd’s teacher says she will minus 1 mark if they do not write, but my ds’s teacher did not insist so last year when he took his psle. I find it wierd as it takes time to write that statement. Time is so precious, and I don’t see how this statement contributes to the 3-5 marks. Isn’t working more important for the marks allocation? And if the child copied the answer in the statement wrongly, wouldn’t they be penalised and lost marks then? What’s the logic?
