      clarenceoh:

Hi, you can find whatever was briefed in the school website here http://www.peihwapresbyterianpri.moe.edu.sg/

Was soaking into the P1 atmosphere there this morning, hope all new P1 students will enjoy their next 6 years in their new school......
Thanks clarenceoh. Your dc in which class?
      S6169:
BTW, not much info for PSLE results. But heard from my son that the school showed the results during the morning assembly. The CL or HCL A*/A percentl drop a lot below national level. Don't know correct or not.
Not sure whether CL std dropped. If it did, that meant one or more of the other 3 subjects must have gotten reasonable improvement(s) since the mean T-score for PSLE 2012 (mentioned in the powerpoint slides) is higher than 2011's at 227.69.

Here's hoping the current P4 cohort - which broke the record for the no. of students clearing GEP round 1 at 120+ - can also set a new PSLE record in time to come.

P1 parent briefing this afternoon from 2pm to 5pm at school hall.

Hi dtck3004, we were not aware of this P1 parents' briefing, how did the school inform the parents to attend?

During my time, a letter was posted to my address, informing us of the briefing.

For this yr, it was announced during orientation day… I find that the first day of school for p1 this yr to b less organized than 2 yrs back. The teachers were still eating lunch n the buddies still in their classrooms. There were no signages or guides to tell the p1s where to go.

Was impressed when ds1 joined the sch 2 yrs back, n thot it was very well organized n assuring for the kids. This time round, saw many p1s wandering aimlessly b4 a teacher came out fr canteen to gather them to the hall.

Which CCA is your ds applying? Mine wants to swap T&F for robotics, despite my best effort at cajoling (for T&F). Told him may not get robotics, since it's perennially hot.

The higher level (I think P5) kids were assigned to bring the P1s to the hall when they reached the school.

The P2s buddies were in-charged of orientating them during recess. They were not involved in the arrival part.

Maybe the school doesn't want the poor P5 kids to stay till 4pm, doing nothing in between?

Hi, my boy is in P3 this yr. Was looking at his timetable. Anyone knows what "MCCA" and "HR" stand for? Thanks.

Anyone know beside the school bookshop, where can we get My Pals are Here! Maths Homework for P2? Have been checking with the school bookshop since Nov, but was told it is out of stock. My husband went again on Thu and was told still out of stock. What upset me is, everyone in my son class has the book except him. Had tried popular, was told they don’t carry the book, only the school.
