hi all, I have 3 used boy PE shorts (size XS) to be given away. Anyone interest can PM me.
I have actually passed my boy’s used uniform, PE tops and socks to school general office during Dec holiday assuming my boy can still fit in the PE shorts. Only when he put on them this morning, I realized he looks too sexy with the little shorts… LOL
Anyway I decided not to pass the used shorts to school cos when I approached the school general office with used books and uniforms, the school admin shared that they don’t have resources to manage recycle stuff hence advised me to donate the books to other organization. As of the uniform, they took in reluctantly. -

My daughter just started her p1 this year…
can you pls advice that during p1, how much studies your kids did at home? -

Yap, my boy in 2C this year.so your kids already in p2?

hmmmmm ... how much arh ... basically his P1 homework was rather light, but there were weekly spelling (English and Mother Tongue) which I will get his to learn over weekend and revise the day before. I will also randomly test him those past spelling words.
there is no exam for P1 and P2, but there will be a number of bit size tests, show-and-tell, spot tests, etc which he will revised the test chapters/topics in advance.
So Mon and Wed afternoon (3:30 - 5pm) will be his school homework time, if no homework, he will read and rest will be his R&R time :boogie: . Tue and Thur were his CCA days, hence any outstanding homework will be pushed to 7:30 - 9pm. Sometime he will use his break time to complete his homework or learn his spelling. Fri afternoon he will be having his Math enrichment class.
Everyday 7:30-9pm will be his study time. also the time For me to fish out his weak topics and get him to practice or clear any doubts.
9-9:30pm will be news time for him before he :snooze: zzzzzz ... of cos he will pack his own bag when adv rolling ... -
Side track..any mummy here let your kids take school bus?
I let my boy takes school bus in the morning. Initally was quite happy cos DS enjoyed it. Reason because of the TVs program. At first didn't bother much but yesterday DS came back and keep telling me how good the uncle fight. I was puzzled so When down this morning to see. And saw the TVs program was the wrestling show. I told the bus aunty please do not let the kids watch such violence program in the morning. She replied me \" the Malay people love to w
atch\"
Before I can say much, she asked me to get down the bus cos is late.
I shall monitor this 2 days and see whether the bus driver aunty will change the tv program anot. Else I have to feedback to the school. -
snoopy, my boy is taking one way school bus back to my parents’ place. He is taking 11 seater mini bus with no bus assistant and TV.
Actually I don’t like the idea of watch/reading on the move as it is bad for eyesight. I can understand that many times children can be mischievous on bus and to keep them seated can be a challenge, TV prog becomes a tool to help bus aunty to "manage" the situation. However, I don’t agree with such method.
My suggestion is to feedback to the bus operator in-charge and not the aunty.
My boy starts taking school bus since N1 and he is quite vocal when he encountered any unpleasant experiences. He will inform to the bus driver / aunty, and when his feedback was ignored, he will tell me.
As on my part, till now I do spot check on the bus service quality including the bus condition, seat belt, cleanliness, arrival time, etc
