      Mika_Ling,

Yep, remembered. My son told me the teacher asked his class if they have the diary. I thot since P2 probably have to get it on their own now πŸ˜› Anyway, I told him to go to the book shop today to ask if it was available. If yes, he has the money to buy. If not, then just to wait it out.

          mika_ling,

Do you happen to know the reason they split the classes up for MT lessons?

yap, they streamed the kids so as to teach them accordingly to their level. They were split up last year 2nd semester.

Not a bad thing as I know another kid was very bad in her chinese and she did had quite an improvement at the end of the year.

Hi Hi. my kid is currently studying at DLS P1. Any parents here has concern about their kids having late lunches? From the timetable, the school didnt include any lunch breaks and twice a week, DLS kids can only go back for lunch after 2pm?!

                Dear Maximo,

I am glad that you feel this way. DLSS is very unique in this way, even St Anthony does not engage Parents as Catechist. We are very grateful that the old and new Principal are very very supportive in our effort. This year, we have a lot of great programs to help develop the kids faith formation. So if you are working full time, maybe you can help us with Prayer Room, that is 7-725am in the morning.

You will find the early session worth-while, you will see many eyes looking at you yearning to know more, to hear about our Loving God.

Can you imagine P1 & 2 coming for 9 days Novena, bringing along their own Rosary, waiting at the door before 7am.

Do let me know if you have some time to spare. Love to have you !

                God Bless.

I was in the orientation this morning. My son is in 1 Bernadette. Done with school bus arrangement and became a bit uncomfortable that my boy will be picked up at 6:25 AM from the bus stop near our flat in Bukit Panjang . Nothing much we can do about that, my wife and I wanted a Catholic education for our kids and we are very happy that we chose DLSS. I'm pleasantly surprised that the PSG is actually involved in Cathecism as this is not the case in my daughter's school, CHIJ-OLQP.

Shaolin8, I think I was the only sympathetic audience to your email about setting up a different group parallel to the PSG. But after attending this morning's event, I actually signed up for the PSG and I look forward to helping out in whatever way I can.

                  Hi kevinmiki,

Ya, I have the same worry too about school ending beyond 1pm even though I stay very near the school. Although he is not big size, he has an appetite almost like an adult so I am very worried he goes hungry.

So I packed bread for him. I want him to buy food from the canteen and the bread will be a back-up. Today's recess, he has chicken rice from the canteen and some of the bread I packed for him. I told him that recess MUST eat first even if he wants to play. So far so good. At least he did not come home super hungry. :rahrah:

My kid is in DLS P1 as well. I am not too concerned about lunch after 2pm because I stuff her with carbo like buns from Four Leaves for recess! I jus make sure she gets a smaller serving for lunch and then for dinner she gets a bit more serving. However I noticed usually she doesnt have appetite already for dinner. Then again - she is a small eater 🀷

Yesterday my daughter came home with Chinese spelling list. She said dunno when is the test. But luckily her aunt taught her the first table.

Today my daughter came home saying she got chinese spelling tomorrow but teacher took away her spelling list today ??? Anyone here has a kid in St Francis 1? Can advise what is happening since my kid is so blur?

I also tot teachers will indicate assignment or instructions on soemthing for us but no school diary yet, then our kids still so blur, I really have no idea what is happening.

Melodyrain - you very lucky. Your son can eat. Mine like a bird. Eat so little. Don like rice, noodles and don even eat things like bao or what. Sigh. Only like biscuits and buns and doughnuts. Got to nag nag her then she eats her rice like being tortured like that.
