      EN:
ks2me, we did keep blue legged hermit crab before. It was part of our reef aquarium. It eats debris from uneaten fish food that sunk at the bottom of the tank. What I notice is that it grows quite quickly that we need to find a new shell when it outgrows the current housing.

For ours, the diet is \"controlled\" by us as we are told to give a certain amount only, so they do not appear to grow quickly. Also, \"housing\" is not an issue for them as we have 4 extra houses for them to choose from due to owner's vanity. Honestly, the fun part is seeing them change shells. Sometimes after changing, they don't like it, they will change back. So we see the fastidious side of them.

Finally got to go down to United Sq to see the crabs after my DD2’s doctor appt at KK. DD2 was very fascinated with the crabs, with all the colourful shells, hut and all. They’re really interesting to watch. Thought I’ll bring DD1 down to take a look/choose (it’s after all, HER pet) before deciding. The guy told me they’ll be there till end of this mth.

              Hey Chief

 Just wondering if it is possible to start a new sub-topic for pets and related pet stuff? I am sure there must be some pet lovers (owners) here in KP! There's one here! 😉

You wouldn't be referring to this thread, would you? 😄

Hi Chief, sorry, newbie here, have not ventured that far yet and that’s why have not seen this thread before and also I didn’t expect a thread on pets could be hidden under "Outdoors & Social", but I suppose can say that it does, after all, keeping a pet is about social responsibility too. In that case, think there’s no longer a need to start a sub-topic for pets then. Thanks!

BTW, sorry, OT a bit here, can you "STICKY" my PSLE 2009 COP thread for easier reference. I don’t want to see that thread being pushed down by others in time to come and when parents want to use it for reference next year, it is going to be a bit difficult for them. Would be good if it can be "STICKY-ED". Thanks.

We had a hamster before. These animals are incredibly capricious. 😄
