Son likes Infocomm club...not bad idea since it is in the air con room.

There are 3 tests 2moro - Chinese, science and English. Really wondering what will be tested :scratchhead:

Huh! Tests already!!! 😓

My DS still having fun in school going for CCA selection.

Good Luck to your boy!

Thanks fifi.

He told me the tests are to gauge their standards...something like a mini PSLE thing without the oral and compo.
Maybe, the school wants to stream already? :?

Hmm… just got PSLE results so school can gauge from there instead of putting pressure on the kids so soon. Hiaz, maybe I’m still in a holiday mood and not quite ready for Sec 1 after the crazy 2011 - 2012 years.

Hi fifi,
No offence, but I do think it's a matter of perspective. It need not be a stressful affair.

PSLE results does not give a very accurate gauge on specific ability (I'm assuming that's what the school is checking).

I mean if I were the P (hee hee), I'd want to know what areas the students need most help in, to build a strong foundation. And it does make sense to put those who need help in the same areas together.

As parents, we can help eliminate and reduce the stress our kids face when we take a positive stance. At this early stage, there's nothing to prepare aside from just being positive and giving their best.

hi fifi,
i understand the stress we went through...when son told me after the first math test on tue, i was cool about it...he reached home at 6+ yesterday after the cca orientation, had bath and dinner. after packing his bags, he slept at 10.

not a bad idea to have tests...this way, he will get the idea that school is ON and he has to be on the ball.

My DS form teacher sms me that they will have a Common Test end-Feb. Think it is good for the kids to buck up again after the long layoff after PSLE.

Holistic holistic holistic.....chanting this to remind myself 😓

DS had no lesson since start of his sch till yesterday, all he had only had a few pages of Maths homework to do yesterday. According to him, lessons will start today. Now that I have officially stop DS gaming/computer time for weekdays, he has lotsa excess energy and was dancing and lazing around and takes joy to repeatedly piss his P6 sister :heresmyfish: who was loaded with work. Arrrggghhhh :frustrated:
BOYS :spank:

忍 !!
Once real work comes in, think it'll be DD's turn to 😆 at DS 😉

So fast already have math test? Maybe the teacher just want to check on the kids' math foundation? My boy's school only start lesson on next week.

My kaypoh son got scolded by his younger sister...he deserves it.

She was doing her English work when he walked over. I issued warning to both...they have to buck up or else I am going to use the cane. Daughter got the picture.

Still chasing him to revise or read chapters before/after lessons...advice fell on deaf ears :spank:

So fast already have math test? Wow.. the teacher is very on. Wonder how much has the teacher cover with the class or just to check on the kids' math foundation? My boy's school only start lesson on next week.
I think school wants to know where they stand. No stress...perfectly ok with me 😉 didnt test sec 1 work according to son. Today 3 tests.
:imcool: I am happy 🕺 this mummy very cruel

Not really cruel. Can't be always stress or else will get high blood pressure. We must also take care of ourselves.
