Mummies, need your help regarding dictionaries. I have thrown away the booklist and forgot what are the recommended Chinese and English dictionaries for P2. But now I think it’s good to invest in them. At first I thought of skipping and going directly to an electronic dictionary (which will be more portable and last longer for their future use). But I realised pictures and simple explanations (especially for Chinese) may be necessary for her P2 level. How? What dictionaries have you found useful at different stages? What do you recommend?

Parents of girls who have gone beyond P2, did you find the recommended P2 dictionaries helpful? Or is there a software/ electronic dictionary that fits all the bill - portable, accurate, wide vocab, has illustrations / easy to understand for younger readers?
