Sometimes me wonder why d PAP leaders, after so many years, suddenly agree to CSJ's much watered down terms to lift him out of bankruptcy in time for GE 2016.
He is so eager to get SDP a seat in parliament dat he is prepared to go to great lengths with an absolutely cockamamie proposal, nvr mind it reflects badly on d oppo.
With dis move, IMHO he actually kills SDP chances in dis BE.

Sources said WP does not want to field the \"new face\" as it's risky... they fear a 3 corner fight will favour the PAP.

But I don't understand why WP should find it risky to field the new face since if he does not capture the ward, there's nothing to lose as he can make a comeback at the next election. :?
Or maybe no exposure yet is better than \"bad exposure\" at the next election?

Of course an NCMP like Gerald Giam is risk-free lah..

1. His conscience is pricking him n he cannot sleep well, or
2. He is abandoning a sinking ship, or
3. He is joining mediacorp to showcase his hosting skills, or
4. He is going to Hollywood, or

Parachuting a new face in wld show WP has no confidence in LLL - not gud for her image if they intend to field her again in same ward in following GE.
She did credibly last GE, but a 13+% advantage to PAP is a mountain to breach even without a 3CF.

Don't make tactical sense to field GG.
He will be better off cultivating his chiku trees in East Coast GRC ready for harvest in GE 2016.

Fielding LLL wld be a great counterpoint to Dr. KPK's candidacy, don't u think?
She is more of a ground person who has worked d PE ground n resonates well with d ground.
Looking at Dr. KPK's CV, he wears so many hats dat either he is superman or some of those appointments don't require much time or work. With 2 young children in tow, where wld he find d time to effectively take care of his residents if elected?
Wld he resign fr his regular job? LLL prolly wld at no great loss.
If KPK did, SG wld lose a 'top' surgeon in his prime.

I think fielding an NCMp is at no extra ' cost' to WP .afterall they'll still retain the position if they lose.
Got change from NCMP to MP lah.. Pay rise :evil: and more say in shaping policies...
