        our cpib is not simple

d NBG n TTH cases hv given d public glimpses of how d CPIB/AGC work to build a case for prosecution, n it ain't always pretty.
SG is prolly d only developed 1st world country where d law does not allow legal counsel when wan is hauled up for police investigation.

Yes, 48 hr lockout and possibly deprived of sleep during that time. The only thing on one's mind is probably to complete and sign the statement and go home.

actually, the whole issue here is over expensive gifts, sex and 'upgrading' DK's grade from D/E to a B+.

Where did u get dat info fr?
          Based on DK's testimony,
Quote\"Whilst we were kissing one thing led to another and we slept together on his couch. It was my first time and it was over pretty quickly,\" she said. endquote.
I wld give d professor a D for HIS performance. :rotflmao:

Can't remember whether it was CNA or asiaone news. Read it last night. That what's DK said. She mentioned Teh told her she was 17th in cohort...and Tey advised her how to bring up her standing.

NUS is a 3rd rate university meh? I thought that exams and papers in any reputable or even semi-reputable university are moderated by at least 3 examiners? How to manipulate grades from D/E to B+? :scratchhead:

NUS law school cohort is what, 120? 150? 17th in cohort looks like a B/B+ to me. 😆

I found it rather mind-blogging that she was getting a D/E grade.

For one, she was assisting in research. Two, she was going for an exchange program at Duke. NOBODY who does either of this gets less than stellar grades in any module in law school. Those who get Bs and Cs simply don’t get picked to do either! So my first thought was WTF?! To get D/E she’d have to be writing utter rubbish in assignments and exams, or turn in blank pages. Can’t recall if she was in 4th year then, but no one in his right mind will deliberately sabotage a grade at 3rd and 4th year. There’s a lot of stake, such as pupillage placement and class of honours which determine eligibility to practise law.

think the delta change /jump of grade cannot be too much, else people may … suspect.

so this Teh guy can only gave her B, instead of A.

at such a young age she’s already trading (corrupt) herself in exchange for benefit, can’t imagine when she grow older in seniority as a lawyer, what else she’ll do ? Thought law profession circle supposed to have ethnics code of conduct.

Er, i have to say, we won't know all the facts of the case. Even if she's prosecuted, it's up to the court to make a judgement. Reasonable doubt and all.
