Have anyone ever made a police report?
I’ve never but was ever present when a police statement was recorded.
On hindsight, I realised how a statement was structured by some leading questions. Nothing wrong with that as the person reporting may not know how or what to tell the officers.
But along the way, I realised some of the words used to relate the incident were being suggested and replaced. Perhaps it is to keep to some legal expressions. Normally would just accept the recommendation as already under duress coz at that moment some mishaps had happened when need to make such report. But it did occurred to me what if I didn’t really meant it that way?
Won’t the statement have a slight twist depends on how it will be interpreted? Effectively it’s the officer’s words and not really my very own statement.

That's why it's important to pause before putting your signature down on any statement.

Whatever the theory might be, my point is if he kept his small head in check, would CPIB or anyone else have the opportunity to initiate any form of investigation? He did something out of the line in the first place. So if at the end of the day CPIB uncovered more than what they are looking for, that's to CPIB credit.

'Baiting' or 'coercion' wld be a valid defence against d charges anyway.
d article advanced a possible 'theory' for TTH being investigated for corruption.
Once initiated, if CPIB casts d net wide n dig deep enuf, they will, in many instances, find skeletons in most ppl's closets.

wat she said suggested dat d charge was oredi framed n then d officers r now looking to collaborate evidence to support d case.
That said, I do agree with your point that CPIB seemed to be carrying out the investigation against him with the intention of pressing charges right from the start. I am not at all surprised as we have seen it more blatantly during the NBG's trial. -
