Personally, I would prefer dd to have the camp earlier too. (before the CA/SA draws near  ) But too bad, their school scheduled the camp only in Term 2.

Hope Jedamum and lim72's ds would enjoy their camp stay. It'll be a good training if you are planning to let them go for overseas immersion class subsequently.

the level of difficulty in P5 syllabus (be it sch or tuition) is already on par and targeted for PSLE preparation… learning what will be tested in PSLE… i feel the whole education system here is already preparing the kids for PSLE starting P5…

Even though MOE says P1/P2 no examinations, don't understand why some parents believe MOE's agenda. They do not realise the pressure at P5 and P6.

Examination still carry on, leave it to individual schools whether they want to conduct exam at P1 or not. MOE just shut up.
Parents don't like the idea of having exam at P1, let them enrol their kids in other schools.

i think to be exact, there are only 3 semesters left, 2 in year (SA1/2) P5 and 1 next year (SA1) P6, after deducting all the prelim exam, visit sec sch open house, talk for choosing Sec 1, DSA, sit for DSA tests, PSLE revision, revise lower block (P3/4) stuffs, reinforce upper block (P5/6) stuffs.... blah blah blah.... that's it.....

Hi mummies…with the currents (P5) school workloads, will you consider to let your DD/DS to attend Math Olympiad in school ?

Yes, I think its a good training for solving IQ qs which I heard there could be in psle.

As for the competition, it depends on his ability and interest. I will encourage him to take part if he is above average.
