Apparently, the school does promote table tennis as a sports for all students. They even grade the sec ones last year on table tennis.

really??? oh no, my DS is never good at table tennis. What do you mean by grading them?

      Check this website

      http://www.hci.sg/table_tennis/[/quote]Thks jesschan for the link.
Looks like the school is really serious at promoting the sport. They even allocate time for training on Friday, 2 to 2.30pm.

Hi, mtg with the respective consortium Director and Asst director starts at 5 pm. The venue is different for each consortium.

The symposium is at 7 pm in Cheng Yi Auditorium.

Hi, can I check if students can attend any CCA trials or they only do so if they are short-listed?

              Thanks

                  Hi Yum Yum,

my understanding from DS is that the boys have to go for the CCA trials that they're interested in. They'll not be considered for the CCA (except for Uniform Group) if they do not attend any trial for that CCA as this show that they're not interested in the CCA. Some CCA even take into consideration the number of trials that the child attend. For eg, if the boy attend the trials a few times for the same CCA, that show the boy is really interested in it.

Dear YumYum, the Sec 1 students can go for any trial, but should quickly go check out the CCA trial dates posted on the school website. Some CCAs may be completing their selection trials soon, eg, Squash’s last trial is today.

                      Hi Megacat,
We're all 1st time going to this parents' symposium but I'm guessing the purpose is to get to meet our DS's consortium director & Ass Director, to know their expectations from the kids and parents, meeting our DS form teachers and probably respective subject teachers and any doubts that parents may ask.
But parent Chandelier did encourage us to attend although slides may be uploaded in the school websites.

So it's fine to be late than not to attend. I believe many parents will come in much later.
