Raffles Institution (Year 1-4)
-
The registration day went smoothly for us as we'd already bought the books n uniforms.
Except, a lot of parents (us included) thought we had to fill up all the forms and return on that same day. So there was a huge crowd filling up forms while standing, there weren't chairs provided. Then we found out, we only had to return the HCL form. :faint:
Mrs Lim shared an inspiring video and short talk. I guess, in view of the intense competition ahead, what struck me most was \"No one has to lose for you to win\"; she even gave out her mobile no.
So, on the first day, the boys are supposed to turn up in their uniform without the school badge. The badges will be given to them on Fri at the ceremony. Is this the one where the principal pins the badge on each boy?
Anyone knows what's the co-hort size? -

Everything was fine as textbooks and uniforms were purchased weeks ago.
By the way, how's your experience on the registration day?
Originally we wanted to listen to the talk about AEP & MEP, but when the teacher in-charge told us that each student can only choose one of the special program (including 3rd language), we left the place to look for transport.
Thanks Kiasuson -
Hi, I’m going to Raffles Institution next year and have bought all the uniforms and books. Apparently the books are very ‘chim’ to me and is there any advice on getting prepared for next year? And what are the Sec 1s going to do at the orientation camp?
Cheers! ((: -
So now, we've vikaesh and kaiser1997 starting sec1 next year, and sons of edanson and myself. Any others out there?
orientation camp? maybe quite tough seeing how kiasuson mentioned to keep fit before the camp.
And, kaiser1997, have you gone and intro yourself at the newbies? :welcome: to the forum! -
is it compulsory to take at least one special programme in rgs? :?

It is not easy to join sports CCA in RI. You need to go thru the selection process. Look out for the trials and try out the games when they start to profile you.
