Read about O level classes … more pupils this time in our DHS. What does this mean ? I thought when the teacher said if Chinese cannot get at least a C by Sec 2 then must do O level…isn’t this O level or express Chinese as compared to Higher Chinese ? Only for Chinese right ?


Is this O level express Chinese taken in Sec 3 ? and if pass can try HCL in Sec 4 ?
(like in other sec schs ) Or doomed to take Chinese H1 at A level ? that means another 2 years of an extra subject that will eat into study time for other subjects!

My dd who is in Year 1 took the wrong PE shirt which is of size ‘S’ (while hers is size ‘M’) after changing back to her formal attire . The ‘S’ shirt owner must have taken hers home instead. Problem is she does not know who the ‘S’ shirt owner is, but likely to be from higher year. May I know where she can put up a notice in school to reach out to the other shirt owner or send an email out? I have asked DD to find this out from school office but may I also know from all dads and mums how similar matters have been handled by DHS in the past?

School office won't help much. Best try is to check Student Services Centre. Although if you didn't label, its quite hard to differentiate the shirt from all the other lost and found shirts. Also, try not to send a mass email out as some students who sent mass emails out actl got told that they were misusing the email or sth along the lines. Can't rmb, it was quite some time back.

on the first day of school there was a briefing regarding this. out of the whole level, abt 10 ppl dun take hcl in primary school

if your son fails hcl in sec 1 and 2, he will have to take normal chinese from sec 3-4 and take o level chinese. when he proceeds on to jc, he will have to continue taking chinese too while the hcl ppl dunnid to :roll:
