i was told yesterday that one girl's school offer enrichment class for geppers.

There is no such enrichment class for DC's school.

I was quite puzzled: GEP curriculum is quite enriched with depth and broadth. So why still need enrichment? :?

can share whether your DC's school give enrichment class or not?

Is it done after school? Do you have to pay for it?

DS school call it remedial lessons but not everyone will have to attend..only selected few aka weaker ones...hahaha

not sure whether need to pay or not. only know it is after curriculum time.
perhaps they feel it not nice to call it remedial so just use enrichment instead... πŸ˜‰
so need to pay for the remedial fee for your DS sch?

When you say "enrichment", do you mean CLAlive, IRS and CEP? in DS sch, IRS and CLAlive are done after school, CEP will be done after exams, during "lull" period, since there are only 3 CEP lessons per year. Frankly, I won’t even call it a programme if it’s only 3 lessons per year, but it is what it is.

I see many advantages taking public bus...train DS to be more independent, cheaper cost, less waiting time (waiting for sch bus could be an hour for some days when have extra lesson, could be even faster compare to fetching by car due to traffic condition), more flexibility (some day he could stay back a bit late to go library) πŸ˜‚

If I can share, DD took school bus from Limau Garden to TNS for the past 2 years. Waited at 6:05am. This year she started taking public bus about 10min away at around 6:30am. She's glad for the change and feels in control and longer sleeping time (of course it helps that we have 3 possible buses to choose from). There were some horror stories about school buses too which I will reveal if requested via PM. Kids probably would be capable of travelling alone on the bus (I'm more worried about the road crossing / traffic etc) than the bus trip.
