Hi wanderlust-alm, there is a bus to take your DS from his school to the BASC? How does he get home? And at what time? Thanks.
School bus is $25 one month one way from school top centre then me or DH will pick him after our work before 7pm.
It's a good arrangement when both parents are working and kids are still too young to have self disciplined. We want him to get to the routine from young. May pull him out when we feel that he can be independent and will study on his own later ( prob P5 /P6 ? ) if he is at home. -
BASC does sound like a good alternative. However, my husband has to go overseas for work each month and I have to do overtime (up to midnight) on a few days each month. So I will still run into the problem of how to get my DS home.

On those days, maybe you can negotiate with your boss that you will skip lunch break, so that you can pick up your ds when it's time to bring him to your mil's place.
So lunch break you work, use the break time to later pick up your ds. -

SAHM_TAN:
:scared: Have weightage de meh for spelling and ting xie? No right...MintyMin:
SAHM, not cham.. but still.. tis leaves me no time to really get him to do anything extras.. so if he has hmwrk not finished.. den tatz when real time problem comes.. haiz..
Maybe you find out the weightage for spelling and tingxie, if not too much then leave it to him to manage. Let him write out the words/chars for a number of times while in BASC, and show you the work. Then you have some time to work on other extra stuff or other hw. -
Good morning! No work today so have time to come in and llls…

Snoopy.. have weightage.. mine is 10% .. :faint:

Yes, there’s weightage. I can’t remember is it 5% or 10% for dd1’s school

Hi Mommies and daddies, do you recommend the kid to go for CCA at P2? I wanted dd to concentrate on her work since she will be having a major exam end of this year, so I replied on her CCA option form as "No, for 2013 and will only take up CCA in 2014" but dd insisted. She went for audition and got into Choir (her dream cca)…What should I do?
She is not good in her work and I have warned her that if her term test is not satisfactory, I will pull her out. -
dd1 has been in CCA since P1. This yr will be 2 times per yr. I view CCA as an extension of her learning journey.
