The school not using a math textbook is probably a smart thing.. Since lower sec and upper sec my school doesn't even touch the math textbooks except once every few months.. Really waste of $$. End up sec 4 I didn't bother buying the textbook anymore, just buy TYS.
      Hi Skyed,
Btw, what is TYS? Does your school have any Maths textbook? I thought it is good to have a book, just in case he needs to refer to it.

TYS = Ten Year Series. You do the O level questions from the past 10 years. Yeah my school has math textbook but I didn't buy it last year. If your child's school is the type that print notes for the student then probably don't need.

Thanks for your advise & sharing. Maybe I will wait for a while first. Buy only when he needs. :thankyou:

This is what I have gotten from the HCI test system. Did I miss out anything?
Was unable to find the dates for Maths.

Tks Megacat πŸ˜„ - very helpful! Still trying to figure out my way around the HCI website. Could it be for Maths, they need to hand in Maths reflection on 9th wk??? or Teacher hasn't book test date. Btw CF test is also on 26/2.

                    Updated for 1A1....thanks

DS has been busy with English homework over the weekend.
He's doing short story, & there are quite a number of worksheets on the short story, like analysing the characters & theme etc.

Am not sure on what they're going to be tested as well.

It is ok. Come to secondary school, they will have to experience taking their full responsibility, knowing and face consequences. Parents will learn to be more relax. The kids are undergoing changes to enter their adulthood. So avoid nagging now...
