27 points is an average of 4 points for each subject of your L1R5.

I wouldn’t suggest you going the JC route, because the demands of a JC curriculum is tremendous, and especially for H2 Maths and H2 Physics, it builds on your O levels knowledge.

JC teachers assumed you are well versed with your O levels curriculum, and if you aren’t, it will be really tough to survive JC.

You don’t qualify for JC. Try looking at MI?

Though submission of choices is over already…

Hihi, omg thanks for the replies! I thought I would receive an email when you all replied. I went down to JJC but they told me to go down again when the results are out. Since I couldn't put JJC as one of my choices, I listed all my 12 choices with courses from SP (and MI as my 7th and 8th). Just received the results and I'm in MI science... I was really hoping JJ would accept me through my CCA but yeah, they said I need to have a net score of 20 at least... T________T Don't know if I should still go down with all the testimonials and stuff... Please give me some suggestions! Or should I appeal into SP?? Or any opinions on MI? :gloomy:

i dun think its advisable to put down a jc in ur option form, or even appeal into a JC. It would be better if u put down poly courses..:)

Thank you for your reply! I wasnt eligible to even list down jc courses as well... Listed all poly courses but got into MI which was my 7th

                What are your subject grades?

The JC curriculum is going to be very demanding and require a lot of you foundations in O's to be \"there\" before you can proceed to a higher level.

Also, CJC cut-off point is 10 points and some students with 12 or 13 points fail to get in via the appeal. However of course, it doesn't hurt to actually just try.

It is a must to have very strong sec school foundation? 😞 I can't just work hard to learn the new things?

Thanks for the reply! I wanted to take BCE (H2) and M as H1(since i didnt take amath) How is the syllabus like? Does it really really require very strong o level knowledge as foundation? 😞 (for chem esp)

You will be learning stuff based on what you learnt in secondary so your foundation needs to be at least somewhat there.

Look forward & study hard when you go to MI. No point looking backward or cry over split milk. What is over is already over. You are still very young. Just study hard & you will have a bright future ahead of you.

I think its a good choice if your foundation not that strong. But make sure work hard. The odds of going into university from A level is better than poly route. The extra year could be a blessing in disguise for you....
