From the slides, it seems the first 3 points mentioned above are omitted. Also, I don't see any slides on 2012 PSLE results. Anybody can share the details on the 2012 PSLE? Tks!Impt Pts:
School most likely to be single session from term 3, P still liberating on school hours;
After school care most likely jan next year, with limited capacity 40-60 kiddies only.
Limited CCAs due to school upgrading project.
Subject based banding for P4;
Enbloc promotion from p3 to p4,ie, the kids stay in same class fr p3 to p4;
Homework policy of appx 3 hours per day. -

Those 3 points were responses made by the Principal at the Q&A session after the briefing.
Hmm...looks like they removed those slides on PSLE results before posting. In fact the P didn't share the 2012 PSLE results. He just did a trend analysis for the past few years till 2011 on the average performance of NCPS against the other schools as well as the percentage of NCPS who went to the 'top' schools, above avg schools (eg NCHS, Xinmin and Zhonghua) and other band school [NB: there was a cut off marks indicated on the slides for the school posting but I can't remember them, and those terminologies of 'top'/'above avg' schools are my own ;-)]
Other parents with better memory can add on
coz I 'listened' to the P and didn't take any notes. Haha

hi p3-p6 parents,
can i check if you can make sense of the your kids’ diagostic report based on the star reading report. A ZPD range is given to each kid and they are to pick books from the accelerated reading list based on that score. However, the list doesn’t have any ZPD score. Instead, the only score that is available is that of "Pts" and "BL" range.
Hence wondering if any parent can enlighten? -

My boy took his PSLE in 2012. Principal told us on results released day that it was the best results since NCPS relocated to Sengkang. About 15% of NCPS kids are in the top 10% of the PSLE cohort. Our performance is better than the national average. 100% passing rate. My boy has been posted to Catholics High School. We put NCH as our third choice.

Where does Kentridge get the information from? NYPS ranking is usually in the top 3. More than 40% of its students are in the top 10% (250 & above) of the PSLE cohort. It has 4 GEP classes (100 kids) & 1 METTA class (miss the GEP by 1 or 2 points) Last year top national 285 is also from NYPS. I don't think the data is from reliable source.Check out this one. BL= book level, so use that to correspond w the ZPD. Kids may want to start w the lower range of ZPD before challenging themselves w the upper range, as upper range bks could still be frustrating for them.hi p3-p6 parents,

Hi, can I confirm if NCPS’s website is down or I am the only one facing that? Tks!
