      BigDevil:
      mummydarling:

Am thinking of applying PV for SNGS. What is the chances of being accepted?

      Thanks.

Seriously, do you think any of us will have an answer to that??

You are wrong, BigD! I have THE answer to that question. What's more, mine is the \"model answer\".

      So, the answer is.....

Her chance of being accepted is higher than if she doesn't apply at all.

      🦆 :siam:

        Hi Little Cheng Mommy,

I have written a "detailed" proposal (actually not really a proposal) to 2 hot schools and was granted interviews. Eventually I was accepted by one of the schools and did my PV.

        What I did was :

        1) Check out on the websites of the schools that you wish to write in
        2) Look at the strength and weakness of the school in both academic and CCAs
        3) List down the "services" or skills that you can provided in specific areas eg.
if you have experience in HR, then you may suggest that you can help to
"prepare" students going through the DSA interview - now some enrichment
centres actually run such course. One of the parents from the school I went
provided that training for the kids and all got through the DSA interview!
        4) During my PV at school, they actually look for parents that were formerly
from uniform groups, sportmen etc to assist in the CCAs.
        5) I took a US brain training course 5 years ago and when I wrote in to schools,
I put that down in the proposal as I found from the websites that a few
schools have engaged external instructors to teach this course for student
to overcome study difficulties and excel in sports.

Hope that helps and wish you good luck!

Ok, maybe I should repharse my questions.

I wish some mummies here can share me with the experience of applying PV in SNGS and also any ideas what kind of service that they are looking at?
          Thanks. :?:

Erm, you better check with SNGS first if they still accept PVs. I thought I saw someone post in the forum (not sure which thread) that they have stopped this scheme as there are too many pple balloting. The PV form is also not on their website any more.

Thank you Mishasha for your reply. I have submitted my so call proposal. It’s my first time writing one since I graduated from school donkey years ago! It’s so tough being parents now… have to crack our brains and dig out stuff my teachers taught me before. I’m really not hopeful that they will call me for interview as I don’t have the skills that the school wants. Haiz. Well. At least I tried.

                    Hi

I’m staying within 1km of Pasir Ris Primary but I realised that under phase 2C, we still need to ballot based on past year registration record. How do I increase my chances of registering my son whom is born in 2009?
