My son has CL and Science tests today...he was at a loss which one to study for. I told him to do his best as he is tired every day. It would be a good idea to have air con in the classrooms...more conducive to study esp in the later part of the year when there is haze and hotter weather.

My DS came home disappointed yesterday 'cos he didn't get full marks for Math test (nobody did) and 14/20 for Geography (top score 16/20). Now wondering what is his actual Math grades cos teacher told them got 21 failed!! Good that he is worried and feeling upset. That is positive signs of growing and waking up. -

Seeing that all your DC are continuously having tests, I am so worried.
Wondering if his Sec sch is very slack

My DS will only have Common Tests (for the whole cohort) for every subjects around end-Feb.
He told me yesterday that he will have Home Econs test in about 3 months time and will need to pair up with one of his classmates. He said they are required to cook a Main course and prepare a salad, desert or a drink. Already asking me for ideas like whether it is easy to cook Aglio Olio as I have cooked for them at home before.
He also asked me what salad or drinks could he make :slapshead: Aiyoh, think must give it some thought as we have not been cooking at home for a long long time. :idea: -
My DD1 has quite a number of homework and projects for the past 2 wks. Some of these are graded and will be combined with class tests/common tests as CA marks. Looking at these papers, I don’t know which are used for CA marks. So, only can tell my gal to put in effort to do all the work properly.

Every school operates differently.
We used to have tests/exams at the end of term, remember?...big headache just thinking of finding time to study for 7 subjects
Son told me he is not confident with his 2 tests today...for Chinese, there were 3 comprehension passages...plus 填写汉字. Anyway, I told him as long we he has done his best. -
Reading through the posts I realise many struggle with English and Literature.
I struggled with my child’s languages till I found an outstanding teacher, Richa Mahajan who runs a tuition centre. My child has improved from a D to A* in both English and French. She has not only taught him but truly inspired and motivated him to do his best. we are really greatful to her
She is very popular in the International school circles. you will have to check with her if she is ready to take your child in as she runs a long waiting list. -

After 2moro's history test, he will have short breather during CNY. Common tests begins 22/2 - 27/2. -

Yes, I saw them at a shop last Dec. Can go & check it out. But answers might not be reliable. -
