'Problem-solving Processes In Mathematics' - usually in 5A, 5B parts. I have old editions so I am not sure if the new editions are any different.
FYI, I bought the PSP for P5 just recently - the new edition is just 1 book.

        Yeah, one thick heavy book!
Hahaha.... altogether i bought 8 math assessment books for my DD2 who will be P5 next year.
DD2 very sensitive, cannot afford to drop too much, or will get discouraged.

Wow... 8 Maths assessment books !!! How to make time to do all 8 ? I only bought 2 and I am already thinking whether it is too much or not.

... Another note I would like to add- in addition to the complex topics in P5, it is vital that the children have solid foundations in fractions and decimals.....

Great advice!!! Thanks for sharing !

I am in the camp of avoid-over-piling. The kid still has the other 3 subjects so I keep it to 1 assessment book per subject, maybe more for MT but we still often end up with undone sections/pages.

I have cut down to two assessment book for p5 as too many cannot finish, in addition to past years school papers…

What about science?Anyone has got great book to advise ?

                Actually, not much.
It is for the whole year.
Everyday do a few pages, can finish.
My kids incentive is that after they have finished their work, they have free usage of xbox and computer. So they finish up quite quickly. Of course cannot have too many wrong, or they will lose their time playing!

I have an archive of books and assessment etc etc. And after this many years in primary school, i have learnt that there is only so much they can do.

I too have decided to go with 2/subject. I plan to lay out all resources available- children choose 1 and I choose one more (this will the tricky part!) and the rest will be free-cycled! πŸ˜„

                      8x4 = 32 assessment books for 4 subjects. :lol:

I think for P6/PSLE level there are more than 1000 titles of Maths assessment books in the market place. Hope that no one gets more than 10 for their children.

I think the average number of assessment books required for preparing PSLE is about 5 each for Maths and Science.

                        Thanks for info.

May I know the step by step series is more for paper one or two?

Am using Andrew Er in addition to fabian Ng.

Did your child use Andrew Er as well?Any comments on his series of book.I believe there are three sets from him.Thnks

                        Step-by-step: I think more for Paper 1.

I started buying Andrew Er's 'Math worksheets' (the really thick one!) only this year. Which remains unfinished and will be used for revision til PSLE 😜

I believe his books are for HA students or at least after the child has some foundation in the topic. Great practice for exam too; definitely not at the beginning stage of learning a new topic (unless, as I had mentioned earlier, its a HA child πŸ˜‰ This is just my opinion after perusing many assessment books.

I recommend FAN Maths for building a good foundation in Maths.
