Since just bringing water bottle and pencil case with colour pencils will your child be bringing along their school bags? -

Ah I used to remember my primary school recess time as one of great fun. Queuing up for the mama's 10c Mee Siam and the Chinese drink stall man allowing me to sit inside his stall to have my hot Milo so that I would not scald myself carrying the hot milo to a seat at the canteen.babybob111:
Dear Parents,
I am concerned & upset about what's happening at the canteen these few wks.
1) Recess time is not staggered for Pri 1 & my child feedbacked that most stalls are very long Q. She is worried by the time she bought her food, she will not have time to eat. She is a fast eater, yet her FT is stressing them & telling them to hurry when eating. Juz imagine, all 11 classes come out at the same time...what kind of crowd will it be? I have emailed to school 3 days ago but till now nobody responded.
2) The attitude of the stall owners from stall no. 3 (noodle stall) & 7 (drink stall) is very horrible. I was informed that the aunties from these 2 stalls yelled & shouted at pupils, asking them to hurry while they pay up the money. Can't they be more patient towards these Pri 1 pupils? For my child, she knows how to count money. But when auntie yelled at her, she started to panic & ended up slower in counting the coins.
My child even told me that she does not wish to buy any item from these 2 stalls anymore as the aunties scold them almost everyday.
I never expect the Pri 1 pupils to be treated as Prince or Princess! I am merely displeased with the impatient stall owners. Did any of your Pri 1 children encounter the same problem? If so, I hope more parents will feedback to school so that hopefully the attitude of those stall owners will improve.
Thank you.
I let my boy bring his snack from home for recess since he was in P1. Now he is in P3 and still bringing snack from home for recess. He save the trouble of queuing and can have more time to enjoy his snack. :imcool:
Nowadays even going to the canteen has so much stress with the long queues! -
I will ask my girl to bring food that day. Worried with canteen queue with so many levels…
I think there is a letter from the school to bring non disposable chopsticks and small plate… Think they are going to Lao Yu sheng. -

Thought only indicated non disposable chopsticks?
Where is it indicated to bring small plate?
Will there be any canteen break that day? -

Think my child did not have that in the journal or could be different class so was not told by her FT. -

Yesterday when I went to the school to fetch my daughter, I experience a lady holding a girl and dashed across the road. The girl is wearing spectacle and red traditional clothing. The security guard was shouting at them when they cross the road. Based on the feature of the lady, I suspect that she could be a maid. It was a raining day and I hear horn from the car. Frankly speaking, I would not cross the road without using the pedestrian cross during raining day as the driver’s vision may not be so clear.
If your maid sends your children to school daily, you might want to cultivate the safety precaution to her. No harm walking a few more steps to take cross the road using a pedestrian crossing regardless of the weather.
