... I always take my time to choose items and pick the ones which expire the latest, even though I may have to dig around right to the back. Any of you do this too??...
This is called smart shopper, not super auntie
I do it all the time, digging into the shelf to get the freshest milk packet. When I buy books, I always pick the third or fourth in the line.

But after you have taken the items from the deeper end of the shelves, do check their expiry dates again hor.. The packers seem to have become smarter these days..
Once I witnessed a packer (auntie) telling another packer (young guy) to display the fresher items with further expiry dates at the outer part of the shelves, and place the older items with nearer expiry dates at the deeper end of the shelves.. So, getting items from the deepest end of the shelves may not guarantee that you have got the freshest items.. These 'aunty packers' can read the minds of 'aunty shoppers'.. :scared:

I am the opposite! I bring recycling Bags with me all the time, so that I don't use plastic bags! Not so much of being environmental friendly, rather we don't use that many plastic bags at home.
