Oh !!! What happened ?
I am just offered a WTB class in AMK Branch.
Was very surprised. Bcos when I called up the centre in Jan, they told me there are 30+ students ahead of my DD in the waitlist.
Anyone knows the reason for the students withdrawing ?
The admin said I have to register by tomorrow !!!

MindStretcher students go to Just Education for tuition. How I know? U go check with Just Education staff. If one child from MindStretcher cross over to JustEducation, soon all the rest will follow. Eventually, one by one leave and that is when waitlist students get in. Sometimes, it has to do with the attitude of the staff at MS too.

Hi, I am looking for a good centre that is in line with the MoE syllabus. I personally was impressed with MS, but later read some negative comments on this site.

I understand that the teacher is important. But, the materials are imp too. If the materials are close to TLL at that price then should not be bad ??
Cofused - Does anyone have any good experience with the new i12 katong branch? My son starts P1 next year and i want to settle him in a good centre near marine parade.
Do not like shifting, He is currently on ICAN READ and abacus.
Anyone heard of Learning Point? Pls do share.

I suppose if a particular teacher is not good, parents can always switch time slots till they find a teacher they’re satisfied with. There are so many classes in each level and taught by different teachers

Wah.... Is it? I am not doubting you though, just that if students are withdrawng becos of the attitude of the staff, then their attitude my be quite quite bad....

Bishan is HQ isn't it? Supposedly with the better (and some pioneer) teachers, no?

Hi, what I meant was the counter customer service staff's attitude. The teachers at MS Bishan are ok. The materials at MS are good. Though some were copied from assessment books or downloaded from Internet. If you can afford to send your child to MS, why not? Just that you have to go through the worksheets with the child. The teacher will go through the questions in class with the students and write down the answer on the board for them to copy and check they got the right answer. It is really important to revise the worksheets with the child. Another factor to consider is the travelling time. No doubt MS Bishan is HQ and I like the layout of the classrooms, my child is exhausted after travelling. The poor child has to sit in class for 2 hours before dismissal. Therefore, it's better tofind a centre near to where you live.
