      Hi,

Anyone try out eBooster? Is it suitable for kids below 7 years old?

I have a free eBooster when I subscribed YS last month. I think eBooster is like a magazine to help increase General Knowledge and Eng vocab. I subscribed to High Five and Highlights last year. And I bought 2nd hand copied of Storybox.

I know it's unfair to compare eBooster with the rest of the titles that are more established and more ex but I would prefer to use High Five ( younger kids), Highlights (older kids) and Storybox.

      Thanks for sharing.

Can someone pls advise which Science mag should i subscribe now? YS or SA? My DS love reading them (he read old issues which i had subscribed many yrs back for my DD) Can anyone give feedback on both, very much appreciated.

There are copies of Science Adventures in Popular. Ask your kid to read and decide which one he like.

My kids like both, and \"pleaded\" me to subscribe to both. In the view of encouraging their interest in science, I did 😓

Thanks for your advice, SAHM_TAN, maybe i should do that 😄

Just to share my experience with YS and SA:

My girl started reading YS L1, L2 and L3 since K2. She doesn't like science but loves YS so much that I sourced around for any old copies for her. Initially I thought YS has changed to SA, browsed the sample copies at Popular Book Store and found them too \"dry\" and decided that my gal may not like it. I presumed that maybe only SA Level 1 suits her (she is P2 this year).

I bought a set of SA L2 last week (btw the SA sold at Popular - 8 bks in a set is for export set). My gal found SA interesting and she likes it, asked for more. So my suggestion is : bring your kids to Popular and let them browse through the sample copies and let them decide.

Anyone knows where else I can get the Young scientist magazine other than through their website? Is popular selling?

I am keen to get the 2012 collection. Emailed them 3 questions, only answered 1. Resend again and again only answered one. Sent again but yet to hear from them.

Is their response really that slow?

Can only buy thru their web. Popular is not selling past issues anymore. Ya, their response not that fast and usually don't answer to the questions asked directly or completely. Quite lousy in terms of customer service from my assessment in my dealing with them over emails.

I ordered online, gave my bank transaction details at the same time, got an automated order confirmation. Waited, called, waited, called. Very fedup.

The people there seems to know nothing. Cant check system with name, insist order number which i didnt have with me at time of checking status. What kind of system they have!!?? Then they said the person in charge is Mr Yu. Left messages over messages, called again and again, really frustrated over the whole thing as i have to explain my same intention again and again.

Finally this lady managed to track my order after sooo many calls till i cannot track and she asked me \"have you paid\". Totally pissed off, i said : \"come on, i gave you the transaction details at time of order, its been 5 days, your people don't track new order or check your bank for incoming funds??\"

I wonder how they can manage since they said only Mr Yu handles but he was never in whenever i called, whether i called in the AM or PM. I believe its a mess internally.

As a customer, its your responsibility to call and track your order status. They will not bother to do so at all. Really lousy experience, not sure if i want to go thru the whole process again to subscribe their 2013 magazine.

You can just mail them a cheque with your address, child's name, contact no & they will mail your the latest magazine on a monthly basis. If you are keen in 2012 issues, then you have to pick up from their office during office hours.
