You can choose the time in terms of the preferred month, venue in terms of north, south, east, west or central. But of course no guarantee you will definitely get what you asked for.

If you really cannot make it for the date given then you can request for rescheduling, with valid reasons. When that happens you may not get back the same venue, or the area you requested for. There is a special request column you can fill in (I think), perhaps you can tell them precisely which week you prefer and WHY. The reason must be good and "really, there is no alternative". Or drop them an email after entering quoting your applicant no.

How can I request for ONE PARTICULAR venue, do you know? I recall I can only ask for the \"area\", eg. North, West, Central, etc. But can I say I want a particular centre? I really hated the centre they gave last time (it was in the next town, when there's an exam centre just near my house which I preferred - nice studio with grand piano too). The one we were assigned to was horrid.

The only sure way to get a preferred month and venue is to register under a music school, which is what I am doing this year for my private students

However, if I don't wish to have the school's name to put on the cert, what shall i do? tell the school directly?

Phankao, you can try emailing directly with your applicant no and see whether they can put you in a particular venue.
