Do aunties and ah peks here record their expenditure? Like say $0.90 coffee etc...I mean all the minor and major purchases. I find myself recording even the minor ones 😢

Not me. Only did that pre Aunty days in college. Oops maybe already an Aunty way back then!!!! But I had to count my pennies. So everything must record.

I do not need to count my pennies but I inherited this habit from my mum. 🤷

Lot 1 is always crowded…very scared of that place. Have phobia for crowds.

So I avoid Lot 1, Jurong Point, west mall and those which are small. I am ok at IMM.

It’s weekend again…CA1 next week…even though it is 10%, it still adds up to final score…so that means sat/sun will be spent revising.

Wah... you good. I tried that with my petrol purchases for like 3 months. Gave up when I forgot to record a couple of those purchases. I'm never one for record keeping

I did that from October 2009 till now. Haven't started doing today. New month. I wanted to abolish this idea so wondering who has been recording faithfully like me 😆

I think from now on I only record how much I earn will do. Every month slight difference --> I do tutoring 😉[/quote]Actually there is no need to record every expenditure. When you get your bank statement, just add up all the withdrawals and all the credits. The difference is the savings and you can see if you have met your monthly budget in terms of expenditure and savings.

I used to do that in my schooling days. Not anymore because it is just too time consuming.

Just curious, what is the reason for the recording? To see trends? To see where the major expense types?

I don't record. What needs to be spent, had to be spent. Can't do much about expenditure. And not easy to increase income either.
Since can't do much to both top & bottom line, I don't bother to keep track.
