Another thing I find very aunty - do you bargain for discount of less than a dollar? If cannot get this discount, do u ask for freebies?

To illustrate my qn, here's an example between an aunty (a) and the veg seller (s)
      a: how much?
      S:$1
A: give discount can or not? 80cents for this bunch la.
S: sorry cannot. Margin v low
A: then give me a few garlic free can or not?

I dare not. I usually just get from supermarkets.

Me too, I dare not. My parents always say I am like carrot/radish, let people anyhow tok. So I end up only buying from places like supermarkets

There is one thing I find extremely aunty - using umbrellas under hot sun. Anyone does it?

Although I hate being under the hot sun, I don't do that. If I can't avoid, like going to zoo or sentosa, I wear a golf visor. Beat die also won't use umbrella under hot sun.
I do not carry brolly unless there is rain.
I hate standing under scorching hot sun...but no way am I going to carry umbrella.

What is wrong with carrying an umbrella? Never knew umbrellas are associated with Aunties!

And what is wrong with being an Aunty (especially if you are one)? If you think you ain't one, then why are you so active in this 'Aunty' thread?!

Some umbrellas are quite nice with flowery prints or sweet pastel colour …

although I usually prefer golf umbrella for greater coverage

Most of my kids' branded clothes are either from sales or purchased online....can't bring myself to pay the price tag in stores.

Speaking of bags....my hub's fav comment was why do you need so many bags? You can only carry one or at most 2 at the same time. To which I tekan him back, why do you need such a big car when most of the time you are the only one in it?!

Men can never understand women's love for bags/shoes/clothes. Just like women can never understand men's love for football/car. But it will help if u r a driver. Do you drive piyobaby?

last time when I haven't drive yet but we were planning to buy a car, I also tell my hubby - buy Kia picanto la, so small so easy to park. Cheap also. He was like :slapshead: heng he didn't buy a Kia picanto. πŸ˜“ these days I would say things like,\"wah, if we have a cooper mini or, Volvo or maserati (all with powerful engines, never mind the physical size) hor, then very good hor...\" :rotflmao:

Yes I do, I have my own car which he criticize till like no value.... :stompfeet:
My point to him is also to each their own, men and women have different interest & weakness which should be respected?! Lol

Okie sound like excuses on my end..... :boogie:

Wah atas sia.... Chateau has great quality! Design not bad too but too expensive. Even after discount still a tad too expensive.

No no....I will only buy when there's sales! Not too bad la, a dress for $20 for the brand is rather affordable....

I also agree there's nothing wrong with carrying an umbrella , and nothing wrong with being auntie.. so we just make the best of both. TRy looking a great auntie with a great looking umbrella πŸ˜‰ , as shown in this pic of a Jap auntie.
