NYPS girls must score at least minimal / lowest psle score 250, before can get into NYGH. (Nanyang Girls' High) If score below 250 (as of today) - cannot enter, the girls got to choose other Secondary schools.

NYGH only has IP track. No GCE \"O\" level - unlike SNGS/SCGS/MGS which do offer dual track.
if NYPS girl can enter NYGH at Sec 1, then these girls will be \"straight through\" trained in IP curriculum, all the way until GCE \"A\" level in 2025, at Hwa Chong Institute.

but for NYPS boys - no affliation at all, into HCI Secondary.

Thks for the sharing. Ya. For nanyang pri sch, affiliation only play a part if the child is a girl and score 250 and above. But if the school is nanyang , even without affiliation , i will still go for it. It is the school that consistently produce good result and have very strong chinese foundation .

Just to share . My brother has also set his mind to send his girl to RGPs even tho the journey is almost 1 hr . My sister in law was from RGPs. But if i am him, I will just send my girl to the school 5 mins away. So much convenience.

On ACS , I have a friend whose hubby was from ACS . She has 3 sons but sent none to ACS but merely enrolled them at the school nearby.yet another friend went all the way to ensure his sons get in to ACS by joining the church n also bought a yet to TOp pty at Newton. Lucky, bec of the within 1 km pty , the sons got in to ACS via phrase 2b without balloting. Otherwise , could nt even qualify for balloting at 2B as he stays more than 2 km away .

many parents with boys like ACS a lot. Maybe because they like affliation to the famous AC Junior College next time. Partly bec they like the school values, school environment. Partly because they like to network with the rich & well to do influential people.

many parents also like Nanyang, bec of the rich Chinese heritage, the environment, etc. So even though boys are not affliated to Hwa Chong Institute, it is still in great, hot demand by many parents.

Hi, you can try to borrow the Guide to choosing Sec Sch from your friends whose children took PSLE last year or previous years. Inside that book, you can see all the affiliated schools, CCA offered in Sec sch and COP for the secondary schools. That book is useful.

                    Yes, there is.

if affliated - think the COP (Cut off point) is 200.
for Non-affliated outsiders, last year 2012 COP was 239.

if i stay in Dover < 1km, i'll target this school, bec of affliated Secondary.
it matters a lot, when come to PSLE preparation.
