They did not shift there. It is another centre. They hv 3 centres in all - Thomson, Bt Timah and Parkway. They hv English classes for P1 -P6. I am also thinking of enrolling my child there. i called them this morning and was told that there is a talk for parents only by a lecturer from NIE. Thinking of checking it out before I enrol. Does anyone know if they are teaching the new PSLE format?

Hi Thanks for the info. I just called them. Yes they also told me about this talk by an NIE lecturer for parents with Primary school kids. The person on the line told me it is on a Friday night, March 15. I asked her if the centre is teaching the new exam English style for new PSLE and she said Definitely. She told me to look at their website and come for the talk. She said the talk will give parents tips on how to help their children with new exam. I think I will attend to find out more. I have a P3 child and very worried about her English. Maybe go and listen and see if I want to enrol my daughter there.

I will go down tomorrow Sat to take a look and maybe register for the talk. I need info on how to cope with changes myself. sigh...

I went down to their Bukit Timah Plazas branch on saturday. It was quite hard to locate but I found it eventually because the signage is not up yet. It is located next to Xue Lin Learning Hub on Level 2 , also next to the Korean Tawkwondo outlet.

The talk is by an NIE lecturer focusing on how parents can better understand policy changes in curriculum and then how parents can help their child cope with these changes. Since they are an English enrichment centre, their Prg Dir willl also give tips on how parents how help their children cope with the changes in the English. I think it will be quite useful because from what I read in papers last year, the new English exam looks quite tough.

I must say the centre is quite nice. The customer service lady told me the date for the talk is Friday night March 15. I was told that it is FOC for Learning Point parents but non-Learning Point parents have to pay an admission fee of $10 per pax and we will walk away with useful notes after the talk.

The people there at the centre seem to know what they are talking about. I heard on Sat that many of their parents have started registration and the seats are limited so I am very kiasu so I paid for 2 seats. $20 for 2 people to learn something new is not bad.

It is a chance for me to see the teachers there too. I told them I have a child and I may consider putting my child at Learning Point. I have placed my child's name with them already but I want to attend the talk first.

DS is p2 tis year & dun like to do worksheets & drilling type of classes. Can someone share what are the classes in LP like, especially around P2 standard? How do they teach CW, etc?
