Just want to check what is this Add/Subtract numbers up to 4-digits in the form of Monopoly game in P3 Amode about? Are we suppose to teach our DS how to play monopoly or will it be taught in school? Anyone parents can enlighten? Thanks.

Green apple - FTGP stands for something like Form Teacher Guidance Period. The book is to help the boys reflect. Good stuff.

I have a boy in P5 and another just entered P1. Was thinking of buying older kid a computer. Do you know if school prefers mac or PC? Understand that they have both kinds in school. I’m more familiar with mac.

Would suggest that the purchase be held back till he is in sec1 when he will need to do more research. By next year, he would be busy with psle preparation and having a personal computer, there is always the risk of online addiction, be it gaming or social networking.

Thanks crosstalk. I had a few good talks with DS and we decided to give everyone another chance, him to work harder to change the impression the teacher had of him and i think DS' effort has already paid off a little. At home, we also have a little nickname for that teacher that I use to make DS laugh whenever he had some rough times with her.

It is indeed true that different school might have different culture. Give your boy sometime to adjust to the new environment. He will be fine once he makes some new friends. By end of the year, he will tell you that he loves Catholic High.

Thanks mummy so kiasu 😄 DS is doing good now. I met his teachers during the CNY celebration and I told him that I could see the kindness in them and now DS agrees. So far I am very pleased with how things are going. Initially DS was a little affected by the indifference of some classmates who have already formed their cliques and his results dipped a little but now's all good and he has gained momentum again.
