Maybe the old lady reactions is new to him 😞

It isn't. She's slow and he just kicked her. I think no matter what, asperger or autism is no excuse for poor behaviour. And from the way he explained himself, he isn't mentally challenged. He is just using that diagnosis to escape more severe punishment.

I agree. He lost his self-control, and while having Asperger's does mean that he might be more prone to such behaviour, it's still wrong. At least he was only sentenced to treatment and not jail. One of the things I teach my girl is how to control her reactions too. Thankfully her reactions are not violent towards others but she can bang things and show a black face, so it's still something we are working on.

Asd kid receive early intervention- the earlier, the better. This will help the child. Not like Alex ong diagnosed so late. Luckily old woman wasn't hurt.

Hey see the news? 25yo autistic man push a 76yo lady out from bus. He just got diagnosed in 2009.. 21yo then get diagnosed .. Society some say get him out of street for life. Some want to blast him .. Society still not aware what is autistic ..autistic is disability that's y registered under CEL

He is diagnosed with clinilcal depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and Aspergers. He was given a mandatory treatment order, rather than jail term.

Its wrong to cause bodily harm to any other individual, whether young or old, healthy or with psychiatric disorder, NT or with behavioural disorder. But when I heard of the court's rule, some part in me felt relieved that our judiciary system is willing to give the individual a chance rather than a penalty given his situation.

Hopefully the individual will make good use of this opportunity to improve his wellbeing and not cause any more harm to other people.

I think asd child can claim for disabled child relief.. But you need to submit the reports saying he is asd.

Is it? From the iras website, looks like only physically handicapped and mentally handicapped (needing medication type, and severe type).

I think if we want, we can also appeal. Our kids fall under the clause of unable to intergrate with mainstream. But hb decided not to claim.

Those EIPIC and therapy cost extra money, but right we should be able to claim handicapped child relief cos we are really spending the extra dollars on them.
