On frozen food. And I try to roast raw chestnuts over the weekend. It was fast, around 15 mins, and easy to peel. But of cos, cannot compare to the chestnuts that we bought at the night market. But nevertheless, it was delicious and healthy.

I have it and I love it. Now I can buy those finger foods without feeling any guilt. I know a friend working in one of the big electronics store and can offer a very good price. Not earning anything from it, just want to share this lobang. If you need his contact, PM me. But it's only the branch in Jurong.

Is it true that you can even put in dried keropok and it come out crispy. The sales promoter say even can put the raw wanton in and it turn into fried wanton.

I did the dried keropok, and it did came out crispy :rahrah:

Can I check for the keropok, did u have to brush oil, or just dump the dried keropok in direct? Thanks!

I just dump in the keropok direct, as I am trying it out. It came out nice n crispy, but before that, I am cooking chicken in it. And there was some oil collected at the bottom. Therefore, I am wondering, did the oil at the bottom play any part?

I will try it again and will update again 🙂

I was a skeptic & have been thinking abt whether to buy this till now. I love gadgets but somehow the comments I've read didn't move me to buy it, mainly because I am happy with my toaster & conventional oven & the fact that some have said it tasted more like bbq than fried. I love fried foods

Finally, I bought it on impulse. I tried it yesterday:

                      1) chicken wings (cut into 2 parts) - I followed the recipe which calls for heating @ 160 degrees for 8 min then @ 200 degrees for 4 mins
The wings didn't turn out as crispy & evenly golden brown as I liked.

                      2) frozen fries - this turns out excellent! Exciting!

                      3) boneless chicken leg - this turns out even better than using my toaster or conventional ovens! the skin is totally golden brown crisp & the meat remains tender & juicy! very impressed liao! But I tweaked the cooking guide cos my chicken wings didn't turn out great when I followed the cooking guide. I used 200 degree for 12 min & it's perfect.

                      4) leftover mcwing & fried kidney kuay - reheated this two & they turn out as fresh as just cooked. Unlike when they are reheated in toaster oven which sometimes turns out still sogged in oil.

I have no regrets getting this gadget. I liked the fact that it's no hassle to 'refresh' foods or purge out the oil in fried foods.

I have a qn though - the cleaning instructions didn't mention abt the hot coil above the pan. I can hear oil splattering in the pan during cooking. How do you clean that ?

just use kitchen towel to wipe it

for those waiting for the price to drop ,
wait a while more as 2 nd version coming soon .

I contemplate buying one. Selling at Mega at $269 this weekend.

But when I check the Air Fryer, I find it cannot be cleaned at the top of the heating coil, unless you can somehow unscrew it. Not sure if this can be done.

If just wipe, you can only clean the outer surface ofthe top plate. But, further inside, cannot clean. In the long run, won't it be unhealthy if leftover oil stains are left inside the unit?
