BTW, does anyone know if Katong Convent Primary is affiliated to Katong Convent Secondary? And what does this affiliation really mean?

Yes it is affiliated to CHIJ Katong Secondary. Affiliation means the CHIJ Katong Primary gals can enter the secondary section with PSLE points less than the minimum non-affiliated cut-off point of 224 (for 2012) and 225 (for 2011).


According to the post below, the score for affiliated girls is only 188 (for 2011).

I probably did not comment in this thread before and here it is. My second child, DD, a Nov '09 baby. Her big brother is in a boys school so I am currently thinking hard about what school we should apply to especially when there is no school within 1km and those outside 1km are popular schools that have very slim chances of getting in.

Our gals are born in the same year! I am also cracking my head over the school to send her. A good girls school near your place would be PLMGS. You could also try CHIJ OLN.
