Hi,
Anyone staying in choa chu kang area and send their kid to Henry Park Primary? I would like to know the estimate time to travel from CCK to HPPS. Pls advise. -
phtthp:
hi, sorry I'm a first time parent, my DD is due for P1 in 2016. Based on the statistics you posted, am I right to infer that for HPPS/RGPS, there's no balloting for Phase 2B? If I do PV but do not stay within 1km, there's still an allocated place?2012 end of Phase 2C (for 2013 P1 intake - born 2006, year of doggie)

MOE did not break down number of pupils registered, by distance range.
(ie. less than 1 km, between 1 to 2 km, beyond 2 km)
Nor breakdown by SC / PR registered.
you may however contact the school, inquire detailed breakdown (if keen) -
babyA:
you’re looking at wrong info – because you were looking at Phase 2C data.
my DD is due for P1 in 2016.

for Phase 2B , last year (2012) :-
i)
There was balloting for Henry Park primary, under 2B.
Balloting was conducted for Singapore citizenship children, residing outside 2km of the school.
19 registered, 12 places.
refer 2B detail :-
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=424&start=2350
ii)
for RGPS, -
last year (2012) Total intake was 9 classes (270 pupils).
No balloting involved, because :-
42 registered, 42 places. (both numbers happen to match coincidentally)
PVs (out of these 42) staying beyond 2 km - ALL got in.
http://www.rgps.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=52943
each year is different.
for HPPS and RGPS -
Total number of Singapore citizenship babies born are different, each batch.
If you do PV, there is no guarantee that you’re automatically allocated a guaranteed seat, even in 2B. Besides PV, another group of parents that also come under Phase 2B are Grassroot Activity leaders.
Once demand exceed vacancie(s), balloting occur.
eg: if one day condition change(s), eg: RGPS intake were to drop to 8 classes, then balloting likely to take place, within 1 km. -

Hi there,
I’m new in this forum. Still confused with all the abbreviations used here.
I would like to know more about Bukit Timah Primary School.
Is it a good school? how is the academic level there, the diversity of the students, the teacher, the school environment…
Any mommies here can give me some input?
Thanks a lot in advance. -
