Steadyberry:
The question stated \"IF\".
Grace baked 99 muffins. If Grace gives Jennifer 25 muffins, they will both have the same number of muffins.
Meaning Grace never gvie Jennifer the 25 muffins.
Unless the question states \"AFTER\", then it will be included. -

thanks for coming to my rescue.. I had gone for lunch..had a nice phad thai and was lazy to check the forum..
yes you are correct. The if condition is just helping us to find the initial amount of muffins Jeniffer had..
Since this never happed, we will just use 49 pcs of muffins which she initially had to calculate the amount she will receive..
Hope this explanation helps.. -

Ha ha ha ok.. Lets help each other then. No tuition for dd except Chinese this year.. All other subjects are taught by me and hubby at home..
So have to teach myself first before teaching her

Still stuck on algebra....
The man's age will be 4x years old.
Four years ago, the son's age is (x-4) years old.
Hence the man's age is 6*(x-4) = (6x-24) years old.
Form an equation with the man's current age and his age 4 years ago.
You should get:
6x-24+4 = 4x
2x-20 = 0
x = 10
The son's age is 10 years old and the man's age is 40 years old.
I don't remember primary three math to be so complicated. -
Thanks, but I need help with modeling for this question. I’m still stuck in algebra days, so can’t help my kid with models…
