      Hi

I noticed under the executive member page of a community centre website, there are people listed as patrons. How does one become a patron and can it be used in the same way as an executive member under Phase 2B?

      Thank you.
Normally the patron is the ex-chairman or ex vice-chairman of a committee. The patron would have serve many years (those i know have served for more than 15 years) as a GRL.

what will the life of chairman be after 2 terms? he has to leave the committee or continue as an EM? would it be conflict as he knows the inside/out of the committee? For example, he will be questioning the current chairman’s doing, he will be questioning treasurer’s doing, etc…

He can stay in the committee as EM. Whether there will be a conflict will depend on the person. If he is those power hungry type & like to control thing. Or he is graceful enough to guide the new chairman and work behind him

Hi I have a question. May I know how can one get into CCMC? Does it have to be a long serving member at RC before we can move onto CCMC?

            TIA.

Joining ccmc or ccc is by recommendation only. Recommendation can come from senior constituency mgr, advisor or current ccmc/ccc chairman. I.e. is by invitation only

Thanks for the reply. I had went to the nearest cc to obtain an application for GL volunteerism. The lady informed me that it is required to serve a period of 3 years before one can get the letter for P2B… Wonder if this is true?

                Anyone knows?

                TIA

It is stated clearly in the moe link to serve the indicated committees for a minimum of 1 year service will be sufficient

One year is becoming a member and you will receive a welcoming letter. Look out for that date and month and count 12 months later. This is a real one solid year.

I think some people misunderstood, the moment they sit as an observer, they thought they are a member liao. Sometimes, sit as an oberver ranges between 12-24 months, depends on the vacancy and the activeness in the committee.

                      observer NOT = member yet
