Nvr think so far.. Ds n dd1 have had swimming lessons for a yr plus.. den we stop due to us moving.. when we settled down.. there simply wasn't time left for them to contd their swimming lessons.. though ds would have completed his swimsafer 1 if he had contd..

Now ds is in badminton team for his sch n soccer externally.. he is P2 tis yr.. as for dd1.. though nxt yr P1.. i have not tot of wat is ideal for her.. :scratchhead:

is your daughter going Tao nan?
is good to groom your girl in music, dance, graceful.

can consider let her try p1 Guzheng, pipa, ballet or Chinese cultural dance. Or cello or violin. It’s good to expose your daughter to a balanced mixture of both Eastern & Western music & art cultural influence(s), tradition(s).

We don’t want our daughters grow up only academic - wearing those thick, thick glasses.
For boys, good to let them learn erhu, or learn some wushu. Because grow up 18 year old after enter army, they become men - need to protect family one day.

I know of parents who cane their K2 children because of refusal to do extra homework assigned by parents. I do not believe that caning the child will work. If the child is academically advanced and the parents are forcing so much work down the throat, there will be one day the child will turn rebellious against your back. Instead, parents should set an expectation with the child of how many pages to complete in one evening. If the child does the work fast and good, the child should be rewarded with free choice time to do whatever the child wants to do. In this way, the child will be motivated, instead of discouraged that he/she is never good enough for the parents’ expectation.

I also dun assign anything hmwrk to dd1… but den… she will always pester me to let her do work when ds is doing… so end up i gotta buy assessment for her to do…
