      Hi Hoo,
      your kid writes well !
i hope i can train my kid to write like urs, mine is a little bit messy but still readable. Shall see how thing goes .

Just wondering why is the handwriting in traditional Chinese words instead of simplified Chinese words. Singapore follows the simplied version. Taiwan follows the traditional words.

It may help her learn the traditional and simplified Chinese words at the same time.

An idea can be to remember that handwriting is not as important as the ideas your child is presenting At our school (George Washington Preschool) we work with the strategies called handwriting without tears with our 3-5 year olds By the time they reach older grades the children need to either print or use technology to "get the work done" as careers of the future will focus on reporting ideas rather than neatness and children will have many ways to focus their skills in more important areas such as the content of their writing .Focusing on handwriting slows down the creative and intellectual content of the writing. As children mature their skills in handwriting must not be the focus as it is either an area that will need accommodations and assistive technology or they will use a computer to write .few careers depend on neatness ,rather they expect thoughtful ideas and interesting text as the product .Spend your time supporting your child with the content of their writing instead.

Wow very neat!! I often have to remind my younger daughter to write neatly. =( Her zero always look like a 6 or 8 and loses marks because of that!

Children can write neatly and it depends on how their parents view their work. If sloppy work can be accepted, the child will write very untidy. So parents, you must be strict with the handwriting with your child by K1.

My child has very untidy handwriting in K1. Instead of telling her to practise writing constantly on triple lines exercise books, I let her play with play doh - have various sets of Playdoh toys at home. I also correct her letter if she writes illegibly by telling her it is not written correctly and I modelled it for her how to write the letter the correct sequence.

Surprisingly, her handwriting improve and looks neater now in K2 than her K1 writing last year. Children just need more practice on handwriting.

I can suggest you to buy a triple line exercise book and teach your child to write from the basic again, uppercase and lowercase letters. Move on to writing 3 letter words and sight words. Then move on to writing sentences with appropriate spacing. Start from the basic foundation again. Your child will learn through the hard way but it is worth it.
