Whatever how good or bad the results may be, I guess we parents should understand that our DS has to learn to cope with so many and some new subjects (such as literature, history, Geography), CCA activities and many projects. Take this as a good warmth up and put in efforts in this forthcoming term. I’m sure all kids in HCI will do well!

If you look at the report carefully, marks under Avg, Highest, Lowest are based on class level, not across consortium or cohort. As pointed out, class teachers set their own tests and assignments so different standards are pitched according to individual subject teacher.

DS has a mean grade of 2.0 and I think it is creditable. I wonder what is the range for oral participation points - up to 10? Also, beside ‘Excellent’ and ‘Good’, are there ‘Very Good’ or ‘Poor’ for work attitude?

I also notice that under ISP, DS is registered for 6 approved subjects. What about 3rd Language? How can we register for his 3rd Lang and can it be included?

My ds's mean grade is about 2.5. His oral participation points range from 3 to 8. Are these points important? Yes, all his work attitude and meeting deadlines are either good or excellent.

What is ISP? I cannot find it in the report.

He has 0 for CIP, both internal and external. Must they clock certain number of CIP each year?

                Dear 8228,

ISP could probably refer to the Intelligent School Portal where the progress rpt is posted n the 6 subjects which our boys are assessed against are listed.

Yes, CIP hrs show zero…not sure if there’s mandatory hrs to be clocked …

                  Yum Yum,

DS said that it's compulsory to clock CIP hrs, however, he's not sure if there's any min hr to be clocked. He said that there'll be CIP activities every week & the boys can choose the activities anytime. But if there's more than enough boys for 1 CIP activity, it'll be first come first serve basis.

DS's MSG is within the required MSG given by his teacher. 😄 However, he said that his teachers told the class that the Term 1 papers are easy!! 😓 Hope it wont be too difficult for Term 2.

May I ask what is ACE?
