Hi. For sec 1 this year, they've change to use \"discovering Mathematics 2nd edition\". Not sure why they change from \"shinglee\" which was last year sec 1 text.

It seem that most IP & SAP schools are either using New Syllabus by Shing Lee or Discovering Mathematics. Thanks for your reply.

Hi dancing raisins, I wonder where do students fr AHS usually end up in....which JCs are popular, do some prefer the poly route....

Usually, they end up in VJC. My elder daughter got into VJ but my younger daughter seems to be considering the Poly route. From what I saw, most AHS students will end up in VJ or TJ I think.

During our times 20 yrs ago…de facto is TJC and VJC (esp choir). Then, TPJC was relatively new.

Can someone tell me from Sec 1 to Sec 2, is there any streaming according to result. Similar from Sec 3 to Sec 4. If there is no streaming from Sec 1->Sec 2 and Sec 3->Sec 4, will the subject/form teachers still be the same.

My son is in Sec 2 this year. There is no change in his class from Sec 1 to Sec 2. There will be streaming this year base on results to Sec 3 class. And I believe there is no change (usually in most school) from Sec 3 to Sec 4.

Oh yes. For my son's class, his form teacher, Maths and Geog remains the same. the rest are different. But heard some of the class had their form teacher changed. There are few reasons : some left, some MC etc..
