Pre-school education is not compulsory here.

My boy is not and will not be attending a local kindergarten once we return to Singapore.
Then, you may like to drop by here more often.

Dun fret. There's no need for such proof. My family was not living in Singapore when my dd1 was due for registration.Thank you qms.
My boy is not and will not be attending a local kindergarten once we return to Singapore. I wonder whether I need a letter from his current school as proof that he was in formal schooling. Is it necessary? Is kindergarten education compulsory now in Singapore? -

Tried to search the forums but couldn’t find the information that i need. Is the above possible if there are 2-3 schools within <1km that I’d like to register? Or do we need to find out the outcome for primary school A before registering to B?
-
you can only register at 1 school during each phase that you are eligible to register.
during a phase, if you want to register at a second school, you need to de-register at the first school before you can register at the second school -
Thanks tankee. If all 3 schools require balloting at phase 2c within 1km I suppose there is no advantage to stay in between all of them if we can only choose 1?

The centralised system won't even let you register for more than 1 school.
This thread will be merged into the proper thread in the P1 Selection forums soon. -
Thanks Chief. It’s quite a headache to select the right place to move. Ideally is to go for a primary school that’s popular while keeping a not-so-bad backup in mind. However the difference in popularity is huge.

PapayaDad:
Thanks a lot for your clarification.Scenario 1: 50 vacancies at P2B,
30 PVs live within 1km (SC), in
10 grassroot leaders live within 1km (SC), in
10 left, below 12 (6PV + 6 GL) ballot for the 10 seats:
6 PVs live 1~2km (SC),
6 grass leaders live 1~2km (SC),
Out :
2 PVs live within 1km (PR). - out, no chance to ballot.
Scenario 1: 50 vacancies at P2C,
5 PVs live within 1km (SC), - in
3 grassroot leaders live within 1km (SC), - in
40 non-PVs and Non-grassroot leader live within 1km (SC) - in
Left 2, below 4 (1PV+1GL+2 non-GL non PV) ballot for the 2 seats
1 PVs live 1~2km (SC),
1 grass leaders live 1~2km (SC),
2 non-PVs and non-grassroot leader live 1~2 km (SC)
Out :
2 PVs live within 1km (PR).
Note : At P2C, forget about PV and GL, doesnt give any priority. Just SC then distance.
