      hi

my dd’s due for p1 in 2016. i’m still thinking hard which school to choose.
Just wondering for Phase 2A(1), there’s a portion for School advisory commitee, how can parents get there? Is the SAC via invitation only?

            SHPS stands for \"St Hilda's primary school\".

Stress can be even higher if you are unprepared. Just make sure you have got your main and alternative plans all set and it would just be a matter of executing your strategy. No stress 😉

Me too… I thought I have lots of time till I read this thread. To apply for PV is this coming jul. I am all ready to uproot but just clueless which school to choose. E problem now is I can get to decide where I want to stay coz I intend to rent or buy. Too many choices becomes stressful too. I love being in bishan but ai tong and catholic high seems tough. I have a boy (2009) and a gal (2012). Of course ai tong will be the best. But after hearing some feedbacks it shaken me again as some parents said affiliation school will be better for the kid. How true is this statement?

Both schools may not take PV when time comes then how? My alternative will be kuo chuan presbyterian but if I am 1km to ai ong I can never be 1km to KC. How leh?

Have you considered trying to do PV or affiliation to get into KCPS in Phase 2B? If you can, then you can relax, since there has never been a need to ballot in Phase 2B for KCPS.

To apply for PV at Ai Tong, you need to be physically staying within 1km already. And they only ballot for 10 PVs. You still have chance at Kuo Chuan if your place is within 2km. Gotta choose your home carefully.

As for affiliation, there are 2 sides to the coin. Yes, those with affiliation can rest easier at PSLE but do you really want your kids to be complacent just becoz they have a back up school? So those kids with no affiliated secondary school will tend to work harder.
