School Teachers Working as Tutors

Just want to ask if a current school teacher is allowed to teach in an enrichment centre? Like Mavis, or Mindstretcher etc.?

Sure, as long as the tr is not teaching his/her class students.
MOE allow trs to give tuition max 6 hrs per wk of their own time. -
i see, i thought only for pte tuition and not in a centre…

I am a tuition agent from Justin Tutors. Basically, according to MOE regulation, current school teachers are only allowed to teach a maximum of 6 hrs per wk for their tuition.
By the way, I think MOE also don't know how many hours per week their school teachers teach. How do they check? There are so many around. -

A trust system is in place. If the teacher breaches that trust, she can be disciplined by the MOE. This 6 hour a week thing has been around from back in 1999, when I started teaching.

yes...school teachers are NOT allowed to teach in tuition centres because that is a form of \"outside employment\"... cannot be take $ for moe and take $ from tuition centre boss right?

friend is still bugged by son's english teacher to coach him...$85/hour, min 2 hours. poor boy is having mental stress facing teacher in school. -

Such unethical teacher should be reported.
Teachers are paid by MOE to serve in schools…how can they possibly coach privately and be paid again? Where does their loyalty lie?
