        I just see how he/she teaches - the interaction with my child, whether clicks/gets thru to my child, and whether I like the approach.

          You are welcome, in fact, the standard question is how long, how much, go to Tr's place or come over to my pl, but for the technical qns, I believe it really depends on your own experience and your own expectation,

              If a piano tr scold a k2 student bec she forget what she’d learnt last lesson bec din buy piano yet to practise, should she change tr?

              Thought tr should encourage kids.

                I find that it is rather unprofessional for a teacher to scold a student because of an issue that is not within a student's control.

                Anyway, not all teachers are the encouraging type. There are popular ones who are more blunt and harsh in their approach; they are by no means bad teachers. It's just that not all students will be suitable to study under them; students who study under them need to be self-motivated and disciplined.

                        1 Tr - Dip in abrsm teaching n with Trinity grade 8 practical & theory
                        1 Tr - Dip in Music, Recital cert, with Trinity grade 8 practical & theory
