      At first Jar A : 88 more

      End Jar A : 112 more
      So the diffrence has increased by 112 - 88 = 24

If transfer 1 from B to A ; B will become 1 less and A will become 1 more ; the difference has increased by 2.

So transfer 12 from B to A ; B will become 12 less and A will become 12 more ; the difference has increased by 12.

In short, 24 needs to be divided by 2.

              Product of 222 and 4 = 222 x 4 = 888

              How many 8s are there means 888 / 8 = 111

              hope it helps…

                      Hi,

I have been able to help my girl’s math till I hit this question on multiplication.

                      If (3) = 3 x 3 and (4) = 4 x 4, then,
                      (5) x (2) = ( )

Please note that the ( ) is actually a square box. I do not know if the box is significant or not and can’t keep wonder if this is a IQ question or printing error.

Anyone have any idea ? This is one of the school worksheet in multipication.
                      Thanks

                        (5) = 5 x 5 = 25

                        (2) = 2 x 2 = 4
                        (5) x (2) = 25 x 4 = 100

                        or may be

                        (5) x (2) = (10) = 10 x 10 = 100

                        my guess
