Maldives… My parents+me+DH and 2 kids. Anyone brought kids there before??

Yes, my kids have been there. They love the sand, sea and sun so Maldives was a paradise. Bring lots of sand toys!
1st time my elder boy was there was when he was 3 1/2 yrs old. He loved it there so much that he couldn’t stop crying the day we came back. Took him back there another 2 times since then.
1st time my younger one was there was when he was 1+ years old. Also loved it there… -
By the way, my mom (70+ yrs ) also been there twice and loved it too! So many fishes all around in the lagoon and jetty…she would usually save some bread from breakfast and feed them.

A direct flight from Singapore on SQ would take slightly over 4 hours. So it’s not too bad.
I stayed on Full Moon (now under Sheraton), Fun Island, Bandos, Embudu and Kuredu. Kids went to Full Moon, Kuredu and Embudu.
Won’t recommend Kuredu 'cos you’ll need to fly out on a sea plane from the airport so that’ll probably be too much for your little kid to take. It’s really hot and stuffy in the sea plane before take off.
Food is mostly western and the resorts so far are all very accommodating. The waiters were really friendly with my kids no matter which resort we stayed in so far. I’ve seen many young children holidaying in Maldives too.
You might want to consider a resort not too far from the airport (20-30 mins by speedboat will be great). -

sea plane that bad :scared: yet to take it cos the resorts we stayed all by speedboat ... yah we saw kid /baby at the resort we stayed too but they are not asian so worry asian bb may have problem -

Wow settles me a bit more now. DH wants to go for 5D4N and i wonder if the kids will be kept occupied. -

Once we were at The One & Only in Maldives for a visit. It was beautiful but people there don’t like kids. Guess kids are noisy. Search around for resort that are child friendly. Our favourite is still Kuredu where we stayed at the beach villas. It was quite a hard core resort for diving with many daily dives.
